The aim of this project was to make an adverting film based on a traditional British penny sweet, to show our interpretation of how to re-brand this image on practically £0 budget. This project was a group project, teaching us that advertising is a busy and hard subject to compete in on your own. This brief was a wee bit of a struggle but that didn’t stop our work, my partner and I shared similar interests in that we wanted to make our advert something quite provocative in its message. Our chosen sweet was the humble sherbet straw, something that everyone could relate to. the final outcome was to brand our idea as a suggestive but sweet, ideal for the people in our generation, with references to sex and glory holes.
